I found this video on youtube and thought that it was quite interesting not quite sure who the guy speaking is or what AMTV is but it does seem like it is a pro-American group. This video the guy speaking, Christopher Greene, is very kind of in your face as he says in the video and I believe he is really giving his own opinion throughout the video about what he thinks is the truth about the Iran nuclear deal. He talks about how he really doesn't believe that this whole deal is a peace keeping deal and that the United States is basically teeing Iran up for war, and mainly against Israel.
If it's true that the US and Obama are trying to incite an attack on Iran by Israel, and that Israel is encouraging these plans, then Netanyahu sure can put on a good front of disagreeing with Obama. It seems odd that the US would want to paint Iran as beginning to cooperate right before Israel attacks them, it would seem much easier, to me, to make an attack on Iran when they're seen as non compliant with the world powers and hellbent on a nuclear arsenal. I suppose if what he's saying holds any truth, it would serve the US to distance itself from the policies of Israel, while still being able to support them in the conflict. I don't know to what effect this separation would serve though, the US will always be seen as cooperative with the interests of Israel to the Muslim world.
ReplyDeleteIt seems more likely to me that the US is interested in this nuclear restraint agreement with Iran in spite of the wishes of Israel, not in agreement with them.
